Terms of Service

1. Contractual Relationship & Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and Bence Szekeres ("@ableproman", "I", "me", or "my"), governing your access to and use of my portfolio website located at ableproman.hu, as well as any associated web applications, programs, multiplayer servers, utilities, games, and services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing, browsing, or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our associated Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately cease all access and use of the Services.

2. No Account Registration & Zero Email Databases

No Persistent Accounts: We do not operate persistent user profile databases, account registries, or mailing list services on our server infrastructure. You are not required to provide an email address, password, or registration credentials to use any portion of our Services.

Volatile Matches & Local Sandbox State: All application synchronization or multiplayer matchmaking runs inside browser-level client parameters or transient session-only lobbies. No accounts are stored, created, or recorded on Bence’s servers.

3. Self-Hosted Infrastructure & Availability

Client-Side Processing: You acknowledge that many of the Services (including but not limited to the "Kalorie" application) are built utilizing advanced client-side structures. These apps compute and preserve data natively within your web browser's isolated local databases (e.g., LocalStorage, IndexedDB) for enhanced privacy, speed, and responsiveness.

Strictly Self-Hosted Server: Where backend integrations or real-time connectivity are technically required (such as multiplayer game matchmaking or short-term configurations), these routines are processed entirely on my own self-hosted server where my domain is hosted. I do not run or load files onto third-party cloud database providers (such as Firebase or AWS). You agree that:

• The availability of these functions depends entirely on the uptime, hosting connectivity, and latency of our private self-hosted server.
• I reserve the right to temporarily suspend, update, or restart our server environment for technical repairs, migrations, or updates at any time, which may disrupt ongoing matches or ephemeral sessions without prior warning.

4. Email-Based Feedback & "Rate" Tab

The portfolio website includes a "Rate" tab to gather your reviews and suggestions. You acknowledge and agree that:

• The system is entirely email-based and processes submissions through a standard client-side `mailto:` command.
• When you click "Send Email," the app launches your native device email app to send feedback directly to support [at] ableproman [dot] hu.
• No ratings or comments are stored in a public database, and no reviews are displayed publicly on the portfolio website.
• By sending direct email feedback, you grant me a perpetual, royalty-free license to use your suggestions to update or optimize our software utilities, without acknowledgment, compensation, or structural liability.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services strictly in accordance with these Terms. You agree that you will not:

• Attempt to inject malicious scripts, payloads, or automated query flows into the feedback layouts or direct API endpoints on our self-hosted server.
• Utilize scraping software, automated scripts, flood utilities, or request bots to stress or overwhelm my self-hosted server infrastructure.
• Manipulate, cheat, or exploit session-handling parameters to disrupt active multiplayer lobbies or matchmaking systems.

I reserve the absolute right to block specific IP ranges or disconnect active sessions immediately if you are found or suspected to be in violation of this Acceptable Use Policy.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All software, layouts, interface assets, styling code, custom CSS, HTML, client-side scripts, logos, graphic design components, and visual identifiers displayed within the Services are the sole intellectual property of Bence Szekeres ("@ableproman"), unless explicitly designated under an open-source license (such as public repositories hosted on my GitHub profile).

Except as permitted by applicable open-source licenses, you may not copy, reverse-engineer, decompile, redistribute, modify, exploit, or publish any code, designs, or proprietary assets of the Services without my express written consent.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

I EXPLICITLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, SECURITY, AND ACCURACY. I DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• THE SERVICES WILL OPERATE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURELY, OR ERROR-FREE.
• THE SERVER INFRASTRUCTURE OR EPHEMERAL SYNCS WILL BE CONTINUOUSLY AVAILABLE OR IMMUNE TO DATA CORRUPTION.
• ANY CLIENT-SIDE STORAGE RETENTION WILL PERSIST PERMANENTLY IN YOUR BROWSER CACHE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL BENCE SZEKERES (@ABLEPROMAN) BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES.

THIS LIMITATION APPLIES TO, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, DATA USE, STORAGE EXPENSES, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

• YOUR ACCESS TO, USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES.
• UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, ALTERATION, BREACH, OR CORRUPTION OF YOUR VOLATILE SESSION TRANSACTIONS.
• THE DELETION, CORRUPTION, OR CACHE WIPING OF CLIENT-SIDE STORAGE DATA (NATIVELY PERSISTED IN LOCALSTORAGE).

9. Governing Law & Legal Venue

These Terms, their interpretation, performance, and any disputes arising out of your relationship with the Services shall be governed exclusively by the laws of Hungary, without giving effect to any principles of conflict of laws.

You and Bence Szekeres agree that any litigation, arbitration, or legal proceedings arising directly or indirectly out of these Terms or the Services shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Szeged, Hungary. Both parties consent to the personal jurisdiction of, and venue in, these courts.

10. Modifications to Terms

I reserve the right, at my sole discretion, to modify, update, or replace these Terms at any time. The date of the last revision will be posted at the top of this document. Continued use of the Services following the posting of any changes constitutes your binding acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Services.

11. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, then that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. These Terms represent the entire agreement between you and @ableproman concerning the subject matter herein.
